Ghostbusters (1984) 1:12 scale diorama, 2023

This is one of my favorite projects I have done thus far. This was a school assignment for Core Studio: Wood - Design: Drafting & Model-Making for 3D Art Objects and the instructions for this project were to create an artwork using technical drawing and/or model making. I chose model making as I wanted to practice my miniature modeling skills. This is a 1:12 scale diorama that captures a scene from Ghostbusters (1984). I cut the base out of sanded plywood and made the walls out of foam core and balsa wood. I built a service cart from scratch using foam core and fabric and bought 1:12 scale doll house food to decorate the cart. I bought a doll house kitchen sink and turned it into a bench. I already had the action figures of Dr. Raymond “Ray” Stantz and Slimer, all I had to do was place them in the scene and give Ray a Proton Stream. Certainly, a favorite project of mine.
